Dear Bridge friends,
The BFI Junior development program is happy to announce that India will be sending 3 teams viz. Jr Boys, Jr Girls and an under 15Youth team to Istanbul in August 2014 for the World Junior Championships being held from 13th – 20th August 2014.
The above decision is a direct result of India being assigned the right to organize and host the World Championships comprising Bermuda Bowl, Venice Cup, D’Orsi Seniors Bowl and the TransNational Teams, in India in 2015 and the continued support and personal involvement and encouragement, of Mr Gianarrigo. Rona, President WBF who has extended the offer of free board and accommodation for the participating junior teams from India.
As such we are left to mainly come up with the air ticket money for which some funds have been promised by TNBA and GBA so far, and we are hoping to get additional sponsorships from the Sports Ministry, Corporates, wellwishers and patrons and other State associations. This is an appeal to all the Bridge lovers to contribute in raising funds.
All the junior players who are keen to represent the country at the junior World Championship must immediately contact BFI and or senior players in your city so that during the Summer Nationals at Nasik, the list of selected players can be announced and subsequently training and final selection camp can be held as required to finalise the teams.
