From September 20 to September 23, 2016, the 30th National "Bai Ling Cup" Invitational Tournament was held as scheduled in the quiet and elegant Taizhou Phoenix Mountain Villa. 39 teams from all parts of the country were invited to participate in the competition, including 8 teams from the United States, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The special significance of this tournament is that the Taizhou native born in 1916 and the Jiujiutang team of Taipei’s Jiujintang returned to their hometown at the age of 100 to participate in the competition.

Taizhou Holds the 30th National "Bai Ling Cup" Bridge Invitational Tournament and Zhejiang Province's 34th "Bai Ling Cup" Bridge Invitational Tournament
According to the regulations, the competition is divided into two stages. The 39 teams invited in the first stage are presided over by the referee and are randomly divided into 4 teams for the round robin, 12 cards per round. The top two teams in the group entered the elimination round, and the rest of the teams played additional points. After fierce competition in Group A of the United States and Zhejiang United Team, Shanghai Friendship Team; Group B of Hainan Bridge Arts Team, Macau Team; Group C of the Hangzhou Bridge Team, Wuhan Team; Group D of the Shanghai Longevity Team, Taicang Bridge Team from The groups made their way out to enter the quarter-final elimination. In accordance with the provisions of the regulations, the team entered the top 4 after two teams of 20 cards competed, Taicang Bridge Team, Wuhan Team, Hangzhou Bridge Team and Shanghai Changshou Team defeated their opponents respectively. In the semi-finals, Taicang Bridge Team and Shanghai Changshou team defeated their opponents respectively and met with the finals on the morning of the 23rd. In the end, the Shanghai Longevity team won the Taicang Bridge Team and won the championship of this tournament. The Taicang Bridge Team won the runner-up. In the follow-up playoffs, the Wuhan team won the third place, the Hangzhou Bridge Team, the United States Zhejiang United Team and the Shanghai Friendship Team won 4-6.
